In a unique first, Holi was celebrated in Missoula, Montana, bringing together members of the local community and students to experience the vibrant Indian festival of colours.

Participants celebrated the occasion by applying organic colours (gulaal) on one another and enjoying traditional Holi delicacies such as gujiya, along with a variety of Indian cuisine.

The celebrations concluded with students from the University of Montana watching the popular Bollywood film “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara”, adding a cultural dimension to the festivities.

The event reflected the growing interest in Indian culture and traditions among the people of Montana and served as another step in strengthening people-to-people connections between India and the State of Montana.
