• At least One of the Parents must be an Indian citizen.
• The Registration of Birth must be done at the Indian Consulate within One Year of the child's birth.
• Both parents should come to the consulate along with the supporting
documents (refer to the checklist below).
• Once the birth registration is
done, it is mandatory to apply for an Indian passport for the child.
