Shoreline College President, Dr. Jack Kahn, hosted an inaugural session of the “Glimpses of Incredible India Photo Exhibit” at Shoreline College today. During the session, he shared his firsthand experiences of visiting India as part of a delegation from the US Pacific Northwest, organized by the Consulate General of India, Seattle, in March 2026.

2. The photo exhibit features curated works by acclaimed Seattle-based photographer Sam Horine. His photographs vividly capture the sights and sounds of India, highlighting its people, their daily lives, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and diverse cultural landscapes. Mr. Horine’s work has previously been featured in leading international publications, including National Geographic, The New Yorker, The New York Times, and Travel + Leisure.

3 It may be noted that the “Glimpses of Incredible India Photo Exhibit” was jointly inaugurated on 26 April 2026 at the Consulate premises by US Congressman Adam Smith, Mayor of Kent Dana Ralph, Mayor of Tukwila Tom McLeod, and Mayor of Issaquah Mark Mullet.

4. The photographs were taken during a ten-day delegation visit to India (9–18 March 2026) organized by the Consulate General of India, Seattle. The thirteen-member delegation, which included Dr. Jack Kahn, President of Shoreline College, comprised distinguished professionals from Washington, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska. The delegation represented trade offices, state and local governments, leading universities, journalism, and the arts.

5. The exhibit is currently travelling across the Consulate’s jurisdiction, with upcoming stops scheduled at:

Oregon State University (2 May 2026)
South Dakota (7–8 May 2026)
Montana State University, Bozeman (12 May 2026)

6. It will subsequently be showcased at several leading universities across the US Pacific Northwest in the coming weeks.

7. The exhibition seeks to highlight the pluralistic diversity of India, its rich cultural heritage, scenic beauty, and the warmth of its people. It also aims to inspire greater interest among young Americans to visit India and experience the essence of Incredible India.
