89th Edition of the "Know India Programme" (KIP)

            Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India invites applications from Indian Diaspora Youth Members, for the 89th Edition of the "Know India Programme" (KIP) scheduled from 15 September -29 September 2026.

2. KIP is a flagship programme of this Ministry that seeks to reconnect PIOs in the age-group of 18-28 years to their ethnic roots besides showcasing the rich cultural heritage of India and its recent spectacular developmental efforts. Through this Programme, Ministry endeavours to present various facets of contemporary Indian Art, Heritage, Culture, Economy, Innovations, Start-ups, Science & Technology, etc., to the youth members of the Indian Diaspora and strives to motivate and inspire them to contribute and participate in the transformative initiatives of the Government of India as part of its march towards Viksit Bharat

3. DE Division of this Ministry proposes to organize the 89th edition of the Know India Programme, in accordance with the revised guidelines, from 15 to 29 September 2026 for 'Scholars and Innovators' in the 18-23 years age group. Under this edition, 25 youth members of the Indian diaspora, including PIOs, OCIs and NRIs, will be invited to visit India for the two-week Programme.

4. The Know India Programme (KIP) is fully funded by the Government of India Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, where the participant receives free board and lodging, free local transport, free Air ticket (10% to be paid by the participant), free Visa and huge opportunity to Know India and visit prestigious Institutes, historical places etc.

5. This is a 2-week orientation & engagement programme for Bharatiya Pravasi Youth (Indian Diaspora Youth). Interested applicants may read the guidelines and download the attached application form.

6. Interested participants send application form to com1.seattle@mea.gov.inwith passport size photo on the completely filled in application form, copy of passport, copy of OCI/PIO card and graduation certificate with contact details.

Note: Form should be filled and photograph should be pasted to the application form.

KIP is open to Persons of Indian Origin (PIO/OCI cardholders) holding passport of US (not for Indian passport holders)
