World Hindi Diwas Celebrated at the Consulate General of India in Seattle!

CGI Seattle, in partnership with Mahila Kavya Manch (M.K.M) of Seattle, hosted an evening of Hindi Kavi Sammelan on January 10, 2025, to mark the World Hindi Diwas celebrations.

Fourteen leading poets from Seattle and Portland participated in the Hindi poetry recitation and shared their perspectives on the Hindi language and memorable anecdotes through the medium of poetry. The participating poets included Smt. Shweta Srivastava, Smt. Seema Jain, Sri Alok Prakash ‘Khushfaham,’ Smt. Rekha Prasad, Smt. Mudita Nigam ‘Raj,’ Smt. Sonia Om, Sri Ashish Singh ‘Amar,’ Sri Santosh Khare, Smt. Shakun Sharma, Sri Manish Kumar Gupta, Smt. Vinita Srivastava ‘Vasudha,’ Sri Arvind Kumar Raghuvanshi, Sri Indra Kumar Awasthi, and Sri Indra Bhushan Nigam.The event began with a prayer by 9-year-old Ashira Singh.

Additionally, an exhibition of One District One Product (ODOP) items, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and artwork of various Indian states, was displayed at the Consulate premises to mark the occasion.
