The Consulate General of India, Seattle, in collaboration with the local community, organized a special event at Bellevue Public Library on 2 October 2025 to commemorate Gandhi Jayanti and the International Day of Non-Violence.

The event brought together elected officials, community leaders, and members of the Indian-American community to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s enduring legacy of peace, truth, and non-violence.

The commemoration served as a reminder of Mahatma Gandhi’s universal message of compassion and humanity, inspiring collective reflection on his values and their relevance in today’s world.
