The Consulate General of India in Seattle had the honor of hosting a distinguished celebration of Vaisakhi, the auspicious harvest festival that holds deep cultural and spiritual significance. The event was marked by vibrant participation from members of the Sikh community and showcased the richness of Punjabi heritage through traditional Bhangra performances, soulful folk music, and evocative Punjabi poetry.

In a spirit of recognition, the Consulate paid tribute to select members of the Indian American Sikh community. The occasion was further dignified by the gracious presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the Honorable Adam Smith, U.S. Congressman; the Honorable Dana Ralph, Mayor of Kent; the Honorable Thomas McLeod, Mayor of Tukwila; and the Honorable Mark Mullet, Mayor of Issaquah.
