The Consulate General of India, Seattle had a productive meeting with Hon’ble Michael Schmitz, Mayor of Bismarck, North Dakota on 27 February 2026.

The interaction featured an excellent exchange of views on the role of the Indian diaspora in contributing to Bismarck’s economic landscape, India’s growing cultural engagement with the city, and potential avenues for collaboration in the energy and technology sectors. Both sides underscored the importance of fostering deeper institutional linkages and expanding mutually beneficial partnerships between India and the City of Bismarck.
