Consulate at Your Doorstep: Consular Camp in Portland, OR
In Association with VFS Global and BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir
The Consulate General of India in Seattle is organizing a Consular Camp in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday, August 10th, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This initiative, themed “Consulate at Your Doorstep,” aims to extend consular services to the broader community.
The camp will be held in collaboration with VFS Global and BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Portland. Registrations are limited, so please book your slot first through the form given below.
Process of Registration :
1. Registration Form: Fill the form here
a. After completing the registration, applicants will receive an email confirmation.
b. This step will only confirm your slot booking. However, applications have to be made either through VFS Global website or through CGI Seattle website, depending on the service required.
2. Services to be applied through VFS Global : For any of the below mentioned services, applicants are requested to apply through VFS Global website (https://services.vfsglobal.com/usa/en/ind/) and thoroughly check the required documents checklist on the website :
a. Passport
b. VISA
c. OCI
d. Renunciation
e. PCC - Police Clearance Certificate
f. GEP - Global Entry Program
3. Miscellaneous Services to be directly applied on Consulate General of India Seattle’s website : For any of the below mentioned services, applicants are requested to apply through CGI Seattle website (https://indiainseattle.gov.in/Miscellaneous) and thoroughly check the required documents checklist on the website:
a. Attestation of Documents
b. Attestation of Power of Attorney
c. Affidavit for Child's Passport to be issued in India
d. Marriage Certificate
e. Life Certificate
f. Birth Certificate
g. NRI Certificate

j. Death Documents Attestation - Transportation of Ashes/Mortal Remains to India
k. Attestation of Will
l. Registration of Birth etc.
4. Applicants are advised to go through the General Instructions thoroughly on the CGI Seattle website, check all the documents which need to be notarized and also carry all the documents with them while coming to the consular camp for verification.
5. Please be noted that officers from the Consulate General of India in Seattle, employees from VFS Global Seattle Centre and also volunteers from BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir will be present to assist the applicants in the consular camp.
